Newly-built in 1996, the Empress is a small, modest hotel whose hallmark is service. While not luxurious, it boasts a number of upscale touches like terra cotta tile and marble. The hotel comprises cozy and well laid out guest rooms, and a number of larger deluxe rooms which include a small living room, bedroom and two baths, and represent great value. (There are only four deluxe rooms, so be sure to reserve them well in advance!) The Empress also boasts a small fitness center, coffee shop, and sports bar, every bit as cozy as the guest rooms.
