TOUR ITINERARY:

DAY1: HANOI - HALONGBAY (L, D)

08h00 AM: Depart for Halong in 3 hours and a half (you will have a short break of 30 minutes in Hai Duong province).

12h00 AM: Arrive Halong bay, get on the Junk, your lunch will be in the restaurant on the Junk.

Cruise on the bay, visit Thien Cung & Dau go Caves, the most spacious and beautiful cave of Halong bay. Do kayaking & swim in the bay.

6:30 PM: Have dinner and stay overnight on deluxe Junk.

DAY2: CAT BA NATIONAL PARK - LAN HA BAY (B, L, D)

7:30 AM: Have buffet breakfast, and here, you will enjoy a sunrise cruise in the breathtaking scenery of Halong. Cruise to Gia Luan Ferry, bus takes you to Catba National Park. Trekking to discover the wild beauty of Cat Ba national park.

12:00 AM: Bus takes you to hotel in Cat Ba town, check in hotel, have lunch in the restaurant.

Afternoon: you are free to discover Cat Ba town or go swimming at Cat Co beach in Cat Ba town.

18h00: have dinner in the restaurant.

Evening: You have time for walking around Cat Ba town, walking at the beach or drink at a bar.

Sleep in hotel in Cat Ba town.

DAY3: HALONGBAY - HANOI. (B, L)

7:30 AM: Check out the room, bus takes you to Gia Luan pier and get on boat back to HalongBay. The boat will go another way - through amazing islets amid dramatic natural scenery, take photos of  “fighting cock islets”, Cho Da Islet, Dinh Lu Huong Islet, FishingVillage…

11:15 AM: Have lunch on boat

12:00 PM: Arrive Halong Habour & get on bus back to Hanoi.

16:30 PM: Arrive Hanoi. End services.

Halong bay consists of a dense cluster of 3000 limestone monolithic islands, each topped with thick jungle vegetation, which rise spectacularly from the ocean. Several of the islands are hollow, with enormous caves. Hang Dau Go (Wooden stakes Cave) is the largest grotto in the Halong area. French tourists visited in the late 19th century, and named the cave Grotte des Merveilles. Its three large chambers contain large numerous stalactites and stalagmites (as well as 19th century French graffiti).
Some of the islands support floating villages of fishermen, who ply the shallow waters for 200 species of fish and 450 different kinds of mollusks. Many of the islands have acquired their names as a result of interpretation of their unusual shapes: such names include Voi Islet (elephant), Ga Choi Islet (fighting cock), and Mai Nha Islet (roof). 989 of the islands have been given names. Birds and animals including bantams, antelopes, monkeys, and iguanas also live on some of the islands.

Cat Ba is the largest island in the Bay and approximately half of its area is covered by a National Park, which is home to the highly endangered Cat Ba Langur. The island has a wide variety of natural ecosystems, both marine and terrestrial, leading to incredibly high rates of biodiversity. Types of natural habitats found on Cat Ba Archipelago include limestone karsts, tropical limestone forests, coral reefs, mangrove and sea grass beds, lagoons, beaches, caves, and willow swamp forests. Cat Ba Island is one of the only populated islands in Ha Long Bay, with roughly 13,000 inhabitants living in six different communes, and 4,000 more inhabitants living on floating fishing villages off the coast. The large majority of the population can be found in Cat Ba Town which is located at the southern tip of the Island (15 km south of the national park) and is the commercial center on the Island. Since 1997, Cat Ba Town has grown rapidly and has become a tourist hub for both the Island and greater Ha Long Bay.
