Night 1: Hanoi - Lao Cai

Day 1: Lao Cai - Sapa - Cat Cat village ( B, L, D)
An easy day for warming up.
Get the pick-up again when the train arrives at Lao Cai Train station and then take a bus drive of 40 km to the hotel in Sapa.
As you arrive, our tour guide will meet you at the hotel lobby and you will get the tour itinerary reconfirmed by our guide. You will have breakfast in our restaurant. The guide will help you to put your bags in the hotel luggage store and then he will take you to explore Sapa town. After that we get back to the hotel for checking in the hotel room. Your lunch will be in the hotel restaurant then. Our guide will get back in the early afternoon ( about 1 Pm) and take you to Cat Cat village. We depart out of the hotel and pass through the market to the sealed pathways to Cat Cat. This twisty beautiful vista road leads you to stairs where we descend to the centre of the village of Black H'mong tribe and keeping going down to the Cat Cat waterfall. There is an old hydro- power station that is still in use from Colonial French time and in warmer weather, a swim in the small river is possible. We walk along by the river and follow the sealed road back up to our hotel. Arrive at the hotel at apprx. 4 Pm.
Dinner is in the hotel restaurant again.

Day 2: Sapa - Ban Ho - Nam Toong - My Son - Thanh Phu (B, L, D)
You will travel by car to Su Pan from where you will commence your walk downhill through the breathtaking scenery. On the way you will pass through the Ban Ho village where you will be able to witness the stunning views of the valley and rice paddy terraces. You will have the opportunity to explore the Ban Ho village of Tay minority before crossing the suspension bridge over the river. The walk then continues uphill to the Red Dao minority village of Nam Toong, where you guide will prepare a delicious lunch either in local school.
After lunchtime, you descend to the valley where locates My Son village of Xa Pho minority, one of the smallest groups ethnic in Northern Vietnam. From there you take a short walk to Thanh Phu village of Tay minority. Here you spend the night in traditional house of the Tay. You can take a walk to explore local daily life while your dinner is being prepared with Vietnamese dishes.

Day 3: Thanh Phu - Nam Cum - Sin Chai (B, L, D)
Today's trek will be relatively short and soft. Once leaving Thanh Phu, you follow the trekking route built in the bottom of the valley, which offers the best view to the surrounding mountains. You stop at a nice spot for lunch.
After lunchtime, you continue the walk toward Sin Chai village of Red Dao minority where the night will be spent in the local house. You will be attracted by the wonderful hospitable atmosphere of the Red Dao.

Day 4: Sin Chai - Nam Ket - Ta Thang - Lao Cai (B, L, D)
After a good night sleep in the local house, you wake up for an early breakfast and repack your luggage for the long trek heading toward Lao Cai.
Once you leave Sin Chai, the trip takes you into a fabulously mountainous area, the most remote part of Sapa. En route you meet children' curious eyes as you are very first tourists passing by. Red Dao ethnic minority inhabits the entire area. You will enjoy the fresh of bamboo forest and jungle until you make a stop at Nam Ket for lunch.
After lunch, your trek will be mostly downhill. After about half an hour, you will have an opportunity to enjoy one of the most beautiful views of days over a green valley lying along the Red River. You eventually arrive in Ta Thang village of Tay minority. Here you will be transferred by car to Lao Cai for shower, dinner and waiting for the night train back to Hanoi.
Note: This trip will easily combine with the transfer to Lao Cai railway station without repeating the way not passing by Sapa.
21h00: solf sleeper train back to Hanoi.

05h00: You will be in Hanoi B station. We pick up you and drop you off at your hotel. Tour ends.
